Truth

I have taught many classes on various Bible topics over the 48 years of my ministry. A statement I make at the beginning of the study is this, after this study there will be things that you will learn that you will not be able to share with others because they do not have the same knowledge base you now have and will not believe you are telling the truth.

When you share the truth, you risk losing everything you have, including those you love. It is almost like there is a curse attached to truth. Sharing the truth from the Scriptures jeopardizes everything you have accumulated in this life, your relationships, your possessions, your reputation. Depending on where you live it has cost believers their life.

We live in a world where Satan, the Father of Lies, has constructed falsehoods that have deceived many into believing that they are doing what is right. American Christian families have allowed their children to be propagandized in school to accept that homosexuals and so-called gender personalities are normal variations of human behavior. Then when the parents try to explain that this is not God’s plan and contrary to acceptable behavior by Christian standards they are brought face-to-face with the fact their children have been radically changed to accept the lies of Satan. The forces of evil are not out to just destroy the family they are out to have full domination of the world.

What makes accepting the lies so heartbreaking is that when we do share the truth with those we love, who accept the lies they have been taught, they try to convince you of the wisdom of believing in the lies for the simple purpose of keeping the peace. What they fail to understand is that lies are like inflation. As the lie becomes bigger you will soon see the worthlessness of believing the lies when you have nothing, it will be too late to cry out and plead that you didn’t know.

People who try and share the truth with those who lack the knowledge base and understanding of  the truth will be hard to convince of the accuracy of the truth shared. If it has not been on television, the majority of people will not accept the truth.

The true followers of Jesus Christ have tried to tell you about the lies that are ruining your life and they have risked their friendship with you for their effort to expose you to the truth. You, however, continue to accept the lies you hear from politicians, movie stars, talk show host and cynical teachers who all tell you to continue to accept the lies. All the while the people who really care about you are abandoned for the lies.

It takes courage to tell the truth knowing that you are risking everything when you do. Most people cannot accept the truth. When Jesus shared the truth, many followed Him no more. They rejected Him because the lie was easier to believe than the truth. We are faced with the same response when we share the truth. We also run the risk of being rejected. What you must understand is the reality is that truth separates, it is not so much you they reject but the truth you represent.
